Common questions

A little clarity.
Before the first call.

Find answers about getting started, software, AI, team extension, managed services, and PlantX Ops.

What should I bring to an initial conversation?

Share the business problem, who experiences it, the systems involved, and the outcome you are aiming for. Known timing, budget, and access constraints are also useful. A complete specification is not required.

Can you help define the scope?

Yes. Discovery can turn an initial problem or idea into a clearer set of users, workflows, requirements, dependencies, and delivery decisions.

Can Techinstals improve an existing application?

Custom software work can include modernization, integrations, and maintenance. Reviewing the existing application helps establish what can be retained and where a change is needed.

How do we choose between web and mobile?

Consider the tasks, audience, device capabilities, distribution, and ongoing maintenance. Those needs should guide the decision rather than starting with a platform preference.

Where should an AI initiative begin?

Start with a bounded task and a way to assess useful output. Review the information sources, permissions, workflow, and human review needs before expanding the idea.

Will an AI assistant have access to all our documents?

Access should be deliberately defined. An assessment should identify approved sources, information owners, permissions, and the boundaries the application must respect.

Can we retain our own delivery process?

Team extension is intended to work alongside your existing team and delivery ownership. Role expectations and ways of working should be aligned before an engagement begins.

Is a start date guaranteed?

No general start date is promised on this website. Availability, role requirements, review, and onboarding arrangements determine the timing for a specific engagement.

What service coverage is included?

Activities, coverage, responsibilities, response expectations, and exclusions need to be agreed for the environment. No fixed service-level commitment is implied by this website.

Can support be planned as part of a new application?

Yes. The operating arrangement is useful context during discovery and delivery, so documentation, access, handover, and support responsibilities can be planned before launch.

Is PlantX Ops available to buy or connect to a plant?

PlantX Ops is in development. The interactive concept explorer is a concept using sample information, not a released product or a connection to an operating plant.

Are the explorer modules a confirmed feature list?

No. The proposed graph, operations, maintenance, and document views are for exploring the product direction. Final capabilities, availability, and launch details remain to be confirmed.
